Approaching Warranty expiration....Need advice...
Hello Fellow Org. Members,
My car is approaching the end of the 36/3yr warranty, and I want to try and get fixed any problems with the max now that may crop up after the warranty is expired.
So far, brake judder, driver seat controls, and blown MAF have been fixed, each failed at around 32K on the odometer.
Is there any other known problems with the 2k max including TSB's that I should have the car inspected for before the warranty expires? Thanks in advance for any advice.

My experience
I was in a similar situation.
For me - the slipping transmission did not start to be real obvious until 34K. I do not drive really aggressively all the time, so maybe it took longer than what other people experienced. It took me a while to convince some service people I had the problem - you might want to be thinking about that - although it should be covered until 60K (power train).
Also - wind noise on the rear windows and blower motor were big issues with me. Those are also hard to convince service people of because some people don't have very good hearing.
Don't be surprised if they tell you that you need to have 30K service for the transmission before they will fix it. They will try to convince you that future warranty issues will not be covered without proper servicing.
Good luck

hmmm..
I got to check on this slipping transmission thing. I notice that when i initially punch the gas, the car will hesitate before moving. I haven't looked to see if the rpm increases during the hesitation.

Wholy crap!!! I got my car serviced at Walmart and after coming back my tranmission splipped 3 times in a row.... at first I was mad because i thought Walmart did something to it... but it fixed itself... then I realized Walmart scrathed the S H I T out of my rims... Personally though i would get my warantee extended...

Is this considered tranny slipping?

here is what mine did
Basically - from a dead stop - if I push hard on the gas (not necessarily all the way) when the transmission gets ready to shift from 1st to second there is a lag - often you will not the engine will sound like it revs - I think the RPMS don't really increase much - the car just doesn't engage a gear right away. For me, when the weather was cold (20s or so) and I would accelerate the gear change would be very abrupt.
I did not notice the 2nd to 3rd shift problem, but the Nissan service guy did and they did both repairs.
Hope this helps.
