2K2 headlight question

Have a small crack on me driver side headlight. My question is, can
you buy the outer cover of the headlight by itself? Or do you need
to spend God knows how much for an entire new headlight assembly.
Please help!!

Only way you can get the outside only is to buy one from a bone yard and do it yourself.

Otherwise, you are stuck buying the whole fixture.

if you buy the outside only...then you would have to go through the hell of having to open up the headlight housing in an oven and then the messy job of resealing it....and when all of this is done..u get to worry about water getting into it and messing up your HIDs which will cost about $1000 more to replace... so you're better off just buying the whole housing and replacing it.
my opinion.

for a 2k1 and 2k1 you can buy just the housing, but I'm not sure if Nissan sells just the housing for a 2k2. Try salvage yards, that's your best bet for a cheap fix. They'll definitely sell you just the housing.

Don't mean to burst your bubble, but I just had to buy a new housing for my HID and it cost $500 FOR ONE!!! Yeah, JUST THE HOUSING. No ballast, no electronics, JUST THE HOUSING!!!

At least the insurance company paid for it.

Dude, I dont think you can get that headlight housing for this price anywhere; unless of course you know a friend who watches as the Nissan parts trucks passes by

Incredibly timely question becaused i logged on to ask the same thing. An old guy in van side swiped my wife a few weeks ago and left some scrapes on the bumper which came out with rubbing compound but I had noticed a piece of plastic stuck between the headlight and the bumper but hoped that it came from the van. Tonight I noticed condensation in the headlight . Old guy is going to freak when I tell him how much the new headlight is..
