What color is your Max and what style?

Mine is a base SE Gray Lustre...only option is auto...neber liked sunroofs and the extar cash for the bigger tires and power seat didn't add up for me.

Don't see too many Gray Lustres...do we have many here?

Mine is "Black as a really dark night with no stars and a new moon" at least I think thats what the brochure called it. I got a base SE with auto (wanted manual) and pinstripes. I peeled off the pinstripes within 2 days and was much happier with the car.

when i went to the dealer, i KNEW i wanted the white se. i had a '90 se black and i just got tired of having to clean it cause black looks dusty 30 min. after you wash it. (although now, even w/ white, i wash it more than any car i've ever had

i'm constantly cleaning my car and now has 3 coats of wax on it.

sterling mist GLE...

the clear sucks!!!!!!! very little help for it. You might want to start now on some of that expensive zaino with that SuperBlack, I can only imagine what a pain that is.

SuperBlack

Mine is SuperBlack SE with all the options. I love it. And the 'pretty-reasonably' priced Zaino stuff is great on the SuperBlack - looks like it was just washed for 5 - 6 days (no rain). Love my car.

Plug? You mean the small rectangle thingy? It's still in my car. I would assume it fit in one of the other rectangle holes.

I like sterling mist and gray lustre, but the latter one was my first choice. Gray lustre wasn't loaded...

sand hides dirt well

if dirt is a problem get the sand. i have a 91 sentra and a 96 trooper in the sand / metallic sand silver and they never look dirty - but always are. the sentra is even missing almost all the paint from the roof and alot from the hood and trunk - but it's kind of old galvanized underneath and from 50 feet you can't even tell - looks like a new car. haha
i didn't like the max in sand though - next easiest color: white. resells easier too i think, if that's a concern.

My 2k is a Sherwood Green GLE with almost all the options except a spoiler, gold badging, and sunroof deflector. 6CD changer was not in the car when purchased, but I have one awaiting time to install it.

2K Sterling silver Mist GXE
The car looked great in the showroom under those neon lights. On a bright sunny day it looks great too, otherwise I think it looks like ****..really bland, boring and off.
A small regret, but hey. once I'm in the car, who cares????

i personally like the color better in cloudy weather better than when sunny. people keep mistaking the color for some kinda bronze in the sun. the gxe rims dont help worth shiz. and i guarantee that the car looks 10x better with the spoiler on. just got mine on over the weekend.

Yup..I got me the spoiler too..and it does help, and on the PLUS side, I guess I can always go into this with the attitude,"Ok..what color is the car going to be today??"..and just enjoy the variations. Wondering how this sterling mist color looks with tinted windows???? dark or lite?

re:wax the black max

what steps do you take to wax/buff it, including the best products for the job?
p.s..the girlfriend should help do the waxing, or at least the "buffing"

Re: re:wax the black max

well supposedly there is alot of stuff out there to wax your car.
Top of the line includes Zaino Products, its like 3 step waxing process. One day, maybe this weekend i plan to invest in their products, http://www.zainobros.com

but i bought this nifty 13 piece car washing/cleaning kit at costco and it came with Mcguire's Cleaner Wax, basically its a all in one wax. It works excellent.

Im anxious to see what Zaino does.

Sterling Mist Fully loaded auto

It was the only fully loaded car they had on the lot and after trying to keep dark evergreen clean for a year I wanted a car that would look good even dirty with a layer of dust on it. I'm happy with the color and like the fact that rock chips are harder to notice than on dark green.

Gray Lustre

I have always preferred black, but hate the way black looks if it is not immaculately clean. With the rain and snow in Michigan, the gray seemed more practical. If I lived in SoCal I would have bought a black one...

I got Grey Luster / Black Leather. I wanted the 5spd, but no one had any in that color combination with all the options. I would have had to order, but I already had a buyer for my Firebird, so I settled for the auto.

Wish I would have waited for 2001 SE 20th Anniversary. Then I would have ordered the 5spd, Midnight Blue (or whatever they call it), Black Leather. Oh well. I would have had to put up with the Firechicken for another year.

I got the Black SE with the light gray "Frost" interior. Manual w/ sunroof + Bose - dealer had a tough time finding anything with Bose but w/o leather. Wanted the beige interior but he couldn't find it anywhere.
