Need Turbo advice

I have a 2K1 autotragic SE. I came across a T3 turbo for $200, and I do know the guy and its a good turbo. I think I seen a thread on this once before, but not sure. I am curious if the stock tranny will hold it. If it will, how much boost could I run? Does the fuel pump and injectors need to be replaced also? I hate to be ignorant, but I dont want to screw it up. Thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Josh

i think 4psi would be the "safe" amount, but 8psi is possible, maybe higher

it is not only getting the turbo charger itself...the most difficult part is the connection of the exhaust piping to the turbo charger. Having an bulky auto makes it even harder to route the exhaust piping to the turbo. Yes, you need a performace fuel pump to deliver more fuel but u can keep the stock injector. Stock tranny will not hold it.

you might want to check the SC/Turbo forum for more info. I would want to get the entire kit that has exhaust piping/turbo/intercooler/FMU/etc etc. (they are in parts for sale forum) The turbo charger itself is not expensive.

btw, the kit for auto tranny is just finished. you might just have to wait a bit more to have it roll off the production line.

You need a lot more components than just a T3 if you plan on turboing your car. Do some searching on the forum or check out turbomaxima.com for more information. You are going to end up spending at least another 3 grand to get a functional setup.

A T3 will most likely be too small for your application. Read up in the Supercharger/Turbocharger forum for more info on turbocharging your max.
