Did anyone see all the a/t shift ***** at the Infiniti display? They were pretty sweet, anyways I was wondering if the I35's ***** would fit in my 2k3 Maxima - and if they can, where besides an Infiniti dealer could I get them.....

Re: At the Chicago Auto show......

Actually I was pretty disappointed at the selection of new cars out for 2004 - it seems that most design teams are apparently doing crack these days because most of the new cars are UGLY!!!!! 2004 Maxima included. But the Infiniti display had about 10-15 diferent shift ***** set up from different kinds of wood to solid colors. I just thought some of them would look pretty sweet in my Max - so any info appreciated

Re: Re: At the Chicago Auto show......

I went to the Chicago Auto Show, and being originally from Detroit where the Auto Show is the #1 thing in the winter, the Chicago Auto Show is more like an indoor car lot. Saying that, I was very impressed by the Audi RS6 & A8L, two beautiful cars. The Nissan section disappointed me, especially the 04 Max only because they had it sitting up on a stagewhere your view of the interior was limited. I feel as though Nissan, knowing they did a radical change to the Max for 04 and will be selling the 04 Max in March, should have had some 04 Max's that the viewing public could get into and test-feel. The Infiniti section was pretty decent, but the crowd around the FX45 and G35 coupes were insane!!!!

I was impressed with Audi too. I loved S4, that my next car. MB AMG were sweet. IMO MB has the best looking cars on the market for 2004. I went with few doctor friends who drive BMWs and even they were disappointed with BMW lineup for 2004. FX45/FX35 looks sweet. I even liked the grille. I set into G35 sedan and shift **** was stolen.
The biggest disappointment was Jaguar. I can't beleive they charge $70k for S-TypeR and interior materials feel like Ford Focus. Leather, fake wood and dash feel like crap. Even my Max interior is better quality.

Yeah, I must admit that MB had some GREAT looking cars out...especially that new E-Class. I also agree that Jaguar has become a let-down in the luxury market...too much Ford influence, especially the interior. I did like the Buick Centieme...sweet X-over vehicle. And that Cherry Red S4 just looked delicious!!! One other thing, you probably noticed that in most cars the shift ***** were gone...well they actually remove the sift ***** before the auto show to prevent people from stealing them.
