I would like to add a set of driving lights to my 2000 GXE, and have a couple of questions. First, can I insert them where the fog lights would be if my car was an SE by simply removing the filler plates ? Second, can I connect them to the existing wiring harness or do I have to run new wiring ? If so, has anyone done this already and know which wires are which (especially in the dash where the switch goes) ?

well for the switch or the wiring harness on the actual connector to work ur going to need the relay or fuse (i forgot what its called). not too sure if aftermarkets fogs will actually fit in the stock holes or even the bracket that the fogs sit in.
