I cant vote...but choice 1. I have the ninja kit..but fitment sucks..its not symmetrical at all..just junk. But an extreme kit...or a quieter one. If your planning some "top secret" stuff...make a bumper I really dont want to buy an OEM bumper.

Definitely something like the AE kit for the 02/03's. There are so many of us that want that kit. When i bought my car i didn't know the kit wouldn't fit the 02.

Go with something closer to stock, the outrages type kits seems to scream hey look at me, I'm fast and are IMO somewhat silly looking. Besides the sleeper effect really catches them offguard and doesn't say to the cops hey look at me I'm speeding when you pass by them on the highway.

Good luck with your decision though, please post some pics when you finish adding your choice.
Peace out

I think the concensus is an AE/stillen front lip. I'd definately go for that. I noticed that Maximumtuning said that they may make on for the 5th gen's. He may need to be a little more specific as it seems like there is a HUGE demand for the 2k2-2k3 model. Maxtuning, when you say 5th gen., what year do you mean? Any timeframe?

personally i like kits that arent crazy, but stand out. Ive got the stillen kit on my car and imho its the best kit out for the 5th gens. and yeah i gotta agree no fiberglass, gots lots of friends with cracked front bumpers on their cars because they got fiberglass kits.

Here's what we're planning.

1. To make a new kit for the 5th Gen maxima (2000-2003). We are 95% sure we will be producing full front bumper replacements since 00-01 lip kits are different than 02-03. A full front bumper replacement would take care of that lil problem. When we asked about a lip kit we may design a lip on a stock front bumper design and make it one piece.

2. These kits will not be fiberglass or poly-urathane. The material will be ABS Plastic (the material most stock bumpers are made of). The kits will be a perfect fit. It's just as durable as polyurathane and a LOT more flexible than fiberglass. Also, it will retail a couple of hundred bucks cheaper than urathane. Instead of the cost of a urathane kit running around $1,300 it will be more around $900-$1,000 for a full kit.

3. I have a couple of people working on different designs and with the respnses I'm getting from the poll we're looking at something like the BMW style body kits (AC Schnitzer, Hamann, etc.) and sketching them on pics of a maxima. I should get those done tommorrow. I think that might look pretty good.

A Moderate Style kit we were looking at looks kind of like this and we're also sketching it out.

What timeframe are you working with? I already have a back and sides and was going to order the touring front, but depending on your timeframe I may wait.

This may take a while. Designing and prototyping is going to take a long time. But once its done... I will have close to 200 kits coming a month... and if the demand is greater, since we're using ABS Plastic we can have 1000 kits made in a matter of 2-4 days.

Winkler 22... there is already a kit out similar to the Veilside style of kits. It's called a Ninja Kit. You can see it in one of the popular import magazines from Spoilers ETC.

Maxximum Tuning if you make an AE kit for us 02/03 guys you will make us real happy. We have requested on from Stillen for along time. Based on the response here alone is overwhemingly the AE kit. The picture of the BMW kit IMO is little too aggressive.

Is the fog light SIZE and SHAPE on the 2k2-2k3 the same as 2000-2001 maxima fog lights?

I believe the 02-03 fog lamps are slightly larger in diameter.

Then we may design a front bumper with the 2000-2001 fog lights and 2K2-2K3 would have to get 00-01 fogs.

Make sure you keep the sidemarkers on front and rear, if you decide to do full bumper replacements.

hey MaxximumTuning..i love the front bumper...after custommaxima decided to ruin my plans and make the r34 kit themselves i was actually looking for some way to get an m3 style front and have it molded to fit my car...still looking, sort of...but if you decide to go w/ that kit, even though the rear is not my favorite, and production begins in CA id be more than happy to prototype it for you

Most of the ideas were getting are from European cars' bodykits because they relate kind of a Luxury/Sporty/Minor-Aggressive look to them. I'll post of more styles soon.

You have to design the AE lip for the 02/03ers, the 00/01 guys already the have the kit available to them by Custom Maxima and Stillen. The 02/03ers who have tried to modify the front lip say that the fitment is not good plus our foglights are bigger. I don't think it makes sense to design the same kit for the 00/01ers when it is already available to them unless you are going to offer it cheaper. 02/03ers don't have the AE lip available, you will have an exclusive market. IMO.

Please make a front lip kit for us 2k2/3's

The stillen Aero/AE look is the way to go. You can do this in addition to your other project.

But PLEASE look at it from a business perspective. A greater portion of 2000/2001 maximas already have body kits. Hardly any 2k2+ have kits, why? because we're holding out for the stillen kit that will never come!

Most of the kits currently out are considered over the top and too outrageous for the majority of 2k2/3 owners.

1. We want it
2. We're willing to pay for it
3. It's cheaper to produce
4. You won't be competing with 4 other available kits for the 2000- 2001's
5. You will have an almost exclusive monopoly on 2k2 front lips

Please take these things into consideration. BTW ABS plastic hopefully fits well because it's not stretchable like urethane. Other than that it's world's better than urethane.

A lip kit!!!

I can agree with most I like the lines the my Max has now AE lips and the lip your trying to get for us now are the way to go they don't detract from the car's original styling the add alot to it.

I still love the Idea of the skyline front bumper ,I thought I would throw that in there!!!!

Why bring this topic back? He's already designing a Stillen replica lip.
