Ground Control Coilover

I want to know how come the Ground Control coilover cant lower more.. I twist the front perch all the way down and the rims wont tuck under the fender.. The rear does but not the front.. Hmm does anyone know what the Coilover number on the spring that show which one goes to the front and the rear.. Contach with me if you had experience use Ground Control Coilover.. Thanks

I know exactly what your talking about seven. After i lowered my car on my GC's, the front still has about 1 inch of a gap. I wanted to slam it and loose the gap, to give it a really clean tucked look. But i dont know what to do. I heard heating the spring is much worse than cutting it, i don't know though. But the two choices are tow cut the spring or heat it. I heard the spring gets really messed up when heating cause the compression in certain areas will be different. I just lived with it and raised the back a little to make it even....

I dunno about you guys but I lowered it about a third of it's setting and I have a pinky wheel gap in the front and none in the rear.. I can still go lower so they tuck in.. I'm gonna try and lower it all the way when the weather gets warmer and I find a set of allenkeys that fit..

Get shorter springs from GC. Sounds like you have 8" springs (I had 6" springs).

hey kev how low did you have your gc's set???...looking at ur car and my car..i think i am about as low as you....you have the 245/40/18 tires and i have 225/40/18 tires....so u have a little less wheel gap because ur tires are bigger....but i "think" we are about the same height off the ground....

It was pretty low. The rear tires were tucked in and the front tires either had 1/2 finger gap or no finger gap... I don't remember.

I'll take some pics this weekend at our NorCal meet. The car is higher with the JIC's (my choice)... 1 finger gap for both front and rear.

GC has custom springs, but you have to ask while purchasing the coilovers otherwise I think they are about $100 a pair.

I wouldn't cut a coil since the springs are flat at the ends.

Sorry, this totally skipped my mind.

$59 a piece, so $118 per pair.

Nope, I don't work at Southwest Autoworks.

Sorry, but I don't feel comfortable ordering stuff for people. Do you have a friend or family member that is able to do it for you?

You're welcome and good luck!

Call Ground Control directly. They will know once you ask for the springs. You need to tell them how long and how many lbs./in. you want the springs to be.

You're welcome.
