My friend with passat vr6 he wants race with me... he has k&n filter and new engine... I have stillen intake and muffler... both cars are automatic

He didnt say he is gonna race in highways. He could be racing with his friend in a track. BTW, what's with all the big letters, dude? I'm not blind, so are many .orgers here.

If I were to bet, I'll most likely choose the Maxima over the Passat. It also depends on your rims/tire and the driver's ability.

i have 17's and he has 15's i think... im not sure. He has more experience

 

It's hard to tell, but it's worth a shot. Your car is FWD and his is RWD, which makes your car faster to accelerate. On the other hand, your crappy CRAPTENZA is gonna blow you. But overall, you have better engine and should probably win over the Passat.

The 94' Passat is a FWD with 172hp/177torq and weight about 3150 lbs.
There is no contest against the mighty VQ3.5DE engine! Try not to spin the tire at launch.

Yea,the 3.5 and the 3.0 VQ's will pull on the Passat no problem

You should be able to beat any ear passat any day of the week. Even the w8

 

the VR6 Golfs do 0-60 in about 6.6 as they're much lighter...they should both be a cakewalk to a well-driven 3.5 liter. Hell, even a 3-liter Max will handily trounce a Passat....

 

as alluded to below, why do you have all of these hypothetical racing questions?

you can either just race, or look up the stats for yourself. are you going to ask about every car of your friends'?

the user agreement said "no street racing discussions" not "post your street racing questions and tell others to ignore it"

 

you should have absolutely no problem beating him.

 

 

Wrong! His discussion is about which car is faster.... the Passat or the Maxima. Benchmarking of the two cars can be done in street racing OR in tracks. He did not say he was gonna race in streets, so you cant conclude anything at all.
