When my engine is cold I have a rattling noise. Maybe like the "Bees in the can" some have described. Not sure where it is coming from but sounds like exhaust. Would a loose brick in a converter do this? It seems to only do it when in gear and backing. By the time I get out of the garage and going forward the noise is gone. I have taken almost all the heat shields off eliminating them. Nothing is loose.

my car has that problem too but only when is cold!

 

Does anyone know why this occurs?

my "buzzing" comes from the front passenger area of engine.

Any ideas why?

Hmm .. me too .. just on start up and for about 10 minutes after that.

 

I have the problem too. Just after I start my car when it's cold out, and the engine is cold.... lasts 1 second. Sounds just like a loose heat shield...?
