Search around on cardomain. Threads like this suck. Also, wheelmax.com has some decent prices, but crappy customer service from what I hear.

I have heard of good experiences with www.tires.com. They have competeive prices. In the group deal forum someone also said they will special order rims from brands they do not even carry and often beat others prices.

with no worries, i would go with wheelmax, but tha'ts the problem. i worry about the shipping process. i've already encountered 2 .org members that recieved dented rims. they had to pay to have it shipped back and then pay to have the new ones shipped again. for that extra cost, it ended up the same and more for the rims than a regular shop.

but looking at it in a cost point of view, they have some SICK SICK prices. axis rims for example are $100 less PER RIM with wheelmax. big difference right there. i guess what i do if i order through them is call the order in and then talk to them about the shipping process and issues about bent rims. will they cover costs, etc... if they can at least say the'll go extra on making sure the rims are packed neatly and securely, then i'd go for them.

Are Konig and Enkei well respected companies that make
high quality, strong, performance wheels?
(or are they "economy" brands that you buy when you can't afford
SSR or BBS rims?)

I'll personally go with Volks. They look damn awesome, and they're lite as hell to boot.

I am sure about Konig, but Enkei also makes F1 wheels. They supply wheels for either Ferrari team or McLaren. I forget which one.

Personally, I think most Konig and Enkei wheels are "economy" wheels. Not because they are cheaply made, but because every Honda Civic has them.

That's not a good argument. Would you consider BBS "economy" wheels if every Civic has them regardless of cost or quality?
