I know this may sound stupid and ****.
But has anyone noticed that the Driver Side window opens faster than the other windows. I first noticed this when I had my tints done a long time ago and I havnt really bothered with it. I was thinking that the tinter messed something up because one of the rubber flaps was all messed up but I got it fixed. Im just curious if anyone else has noticed this?

The nice thing about this roadkill is your window can do it while in cruise control (auto down).

I'd assume its to keep the driver from being preoccupied with the window. Just a theory.

You wanna see your windows go slow as sin? First turn on your heater all the way, then turn defroster on and then roll down the 2 front windows. Now roll them up at the same time and sit back and wait. IT takes FOREVER. I did this the other morning to clear the dew from the windows and it took like a day for em to roll back up..

If I were designing a car whith auto down on the drivers window only I would put a larger motor on that one because I would expect it to get used the most and mostly fully up and down. Adding a little beef to the most used is cheaper than doing them all but can give a reliability edge.

The last 2 cars I haved owned had driver side windows that were faster than the passenger side. It's in the gearing. I had to replace 2 sets of gears in my Explorer (they came w/ plastic gears, the replacements were steel) and the counter guy asks me if I wanted driver side gears so the other windows would be faster and sure enough they were!

Has anyone discovered the auto reverse safety feature on the drivers side window?
