Just got a first-hand lesson today on the way home from work. Went to pass some geezer in a chevy on a two lane road and punched it just as I was pulling into the left lane. Lurched bigtime to the left! I guess I have to remember - pull left, straighten wheel, then hammer the pedal. I thought autos were less prone to this...

 

You should only have experienced it from a stand still

If not I would say it to be a road condition.

 

i have noticed that since i put on my 18's that the torque steer is now much worse...

also...steering is not "on center"...

have no idea how bigger wheels can cause those problems...

 

On center will improve with proper "toe"

The torque steer you are experiencing is from your offset of the wheels.

 

Check your tire pressure, if it is high the TS is much worse.
