dealer scratched my window tinting

i took my car to magnussen nissan in fremont about 2 weeks ago to take care of the wind noise tsb. so that morning i dropped my car off, but unfortunately i culdnt pick it up because the car wasn't ready by the time my ride came to take me back to school. flash forward to this morning. i'm happy to finally be driving a v6 once again (after driving my friend's 90 HP corolla all week), and i look back while making a lane change to see specks on my rear passenger window. after closer inspection i found out that there are scratches all over the window. apparently neither my dad nor brother bothered to check the window when they picked up the car.

[/end rant]

now i've got to go back to the dealership and see what they're going to do about this.

if you don't have proof that they did it, they'll tell you to get lost

try finding pictures or videos before giving it to the dealer first
and they always keep TSB info so use that to prove when the scratch happened since u did not have access it was their fault

well the scratches are only on the window they performed work on, and i know my windows were fine before that since i had washed my car the day before. the service manager wasn't in today, so we were told to come back in tuesday, but whoever was in charge there today said that if they find that it was their fault, they would probably pay to get it re-tinted.

You should be okay if it was on the window they were working on.

Give the service manager a chance to make things right. Explain to him about not inspecting the car up close until now. If he does not want to retint the window, go to the general manager. And it does help if you bought the car from them. Make that point known if it has to go to the general manager.

My dealer did the same damn think about a year ago.....they replaced mine with no questions asked...but they pointed out the fact that they messed it up before they gave me my car back. Good Luck

If i'm driving at night with the radio off & all the windows rolled up, it sounds like my rear passenger side window is rolled down a little. Is that that same wind noise you had? If so, did they fix it under warranty? I have an appointment at the dealer Tuesday to have the inner-wheel well splash guard installed & I want them to check that out for me too.

Yes that's the one. There's been a TSB issued for it. Not for 02/03 though? Not sure.

I'm still wondering if the dealer fixed MaximaZero's windnoise. He seems hesitant to say?
