Who wants gauge pods for your Maxima ?
Here's your chance to make a difference.
I just sent the following e-mail to Auto Meter:
Mike --
Auto Meter's unwillingness to produce gauge pods is not due to a lack of interest. It's due to a PERCEIVED lack of interest on your part. I can assure you that there's plenty of interest in gauge pods for 2000+ Maximas. And to prove my point, I'm going to put up a post at Maxima.org asking members interested in gauge pods for 2000+ Maximas to e-mail you.
Stay tuned.
Regards,
Bruce

Dear Sir or Madam,
Thank you for your interest in Auto Meter Products. Unfortunately, we do not offer a newer gauge pod for the Nissan Maxima after 99. Unfortunately, due to lack of interest, we do not produce pods for this vehicle.
Please check out the accessories section of our web site at http://www.autometer.com. We have a large array of
cups and panels that may suit your needs.
Again, thank you for your email and for thinking of Auto Meter
Products. Best of luck in your project.
Sincerely,
Mike Sueto

Question:
Why won't you develop gauge pods for 2000-2003 Nissan Maximas? There's been a demand for them since the 2000 Maxima was released. And no, gauge pods for Maximas prior to the 2000 model will not fit 2000-2003 Maximas.
Please respond. Thanks.

Here's mine:
Mike,
Regarding the absence of GaugePods for the 2002 Maxima in your current product offerings;
The lack of this product has spawned an number of other smaller upstarts to produce them. While the quality may not match what the Pre-2000 Maxima community has come to know and respect from you, it is all we've got. The newer Nissan Maxima offerings boast a more powerful engine (255HP) and there are a number of modifications available that necessitate a greater degree of accuracy on monitoring engine temps /activities.
Please consider making a "A Pillar" gauge Pod to be used with the 2000+ Nissan Maximas. The 2002 - 2003 will require a tweeter cutout but there is sufficent interest in this to warrant investigation to determine if your ROI will be justified. Thanks you for your time.
Sincerly,

Fuggedaboudit . . .
I spoke to Mike at Auto Meter. He said that Auto Meter's hands are tied. He said that Auto Meter OEMs pods from Gauge Works and Gauge Works doesn't see a big enough market to warrant manufacturing pods for us.

Mike,
I'm interested in a 2 or even 3 gauge pod for 2-1/6" or even 60mm gauges on the A-pillar of my 2001 Maxima. However, I'd even like a dual pod bezel or the pod that sits on the dash over the center A/C vents that's becoming so popular.
Please be assured there are more and more nitrous, supercharged, and especially now turbocharged Maximas that REQUIRE pods. Most Maxima enthusiasts typically just buy something that roughly fits and then have to spend hours with a heatgun to mold it to fit. This works, but is clearly not as clean of an install.
Thanks,
Alex

So what's the next product we should pursue?
