should i trade her in already?

hey all, as most of you know, i was already in an accident with my new car. now it just doesn't seem as though i want her that much anymore. it's just not me. especially with all of this talk about getting an is300 over a max and everything, it seems as though i might of have made a mistake with all of this. probably just some buyers remorse, but would any of you guys trade your new '03, not even two months old, max in and get something else. ya depreciation sux, but oh well. also, what would you get? just some think...tia.

Don't be a Russ.

If you "dislike" of your new car is worth the $3000-$6000 loss you will have take on a trade-in, then so be it.

Man stick with that car, it is alot of guys in here that would love to get into an 03. You would be crazy to lose that kind of money in times like this and you have a great new car.

Honestly, there is nothing else that I would want. Maybe a 5 series BMW. I am used to the size and power of the Maxima and that would be my next step. IS300 looks impressive but too small and certainly underpowered compared with the Max. Toyota Camry and Honda Accord are both ghey. Acura TLS is boring IMO. 3 series BMW is too small but is a great driving car.

The decision is up to you. If you are serious about losing $3 to 6K just to get out of the Max, then test the car you are thinking about several times before buying. You might really get buyers remorse if you settle for something else.

Me too. I saw a post about a guy who traded in his 03 for a BMW. I started to check them out (on line) and fell in love with the 540i 6-speed (290 HP, 18" wheels). Unfortunatly, it starts at $55,000!

In this price range, the Max is really the only car to get. I looked at the 3 series BMWs as well but they are just too small and lack horse power. I'm not gonna pay $10K more for a slower car!

My next car will probably be a BMW, we'll see.

Isn't the TSX going to be very small? It looks like and Acura Civic to me.

The trade in value on an 03 that has been in an accident is going to be horrendous.

Man, you must have a few $$$ to seriously consider a $3000-$6000 loss on your new max. Must be nice to have that kind of money. But IMHO, I would stick with the max.

You said you're thinking of the IS300, check this out.
A buddy of mine has one, so we wanted to race to really compare the acceleration difference. We line up at a light, i rev up to 2500rpm and hold it. We have to cross a 4 lane road, with one left turning lane on each, and about 1/4 mile away my lane merges into his. So, the light turns green, and i start working the clutch. I didn't drop it (even though i have HLSD), but my tires loose traction completely and the revs climb up. I shift at 6000rpm since i wasn't getting traction, and rpms fall to around 3500rpm (didn't want to continue without traction). As soon as i shift, i get traction and the max just pulls very hard on the IS. Even i was shocked at how hard it pulled at that low rpm. My lost of traction was due to the road we were crossing, but i didn't fall behind neither. I had a passenger with me, and the IS only had the driver.

You will miss a HECK of a lot of power.

yeah we have a lexus. those hooked up camrys are stil expensive. lexus's are not overpriced. they are a quality car that can easily compete with the germans.

I'd keep the Max. What's wrong with it? The IS300 has less power and a less room. I also don't like the gauges as they're kinda hard to read. What is your price range and what type of attributes are you looking for that you feel your Max doesn't have?

You will lose a lot either on selling or trading in.

thx for all of the input guys. perhaps i was just having some buyers remorse because i still don't have my car back from the shop yet. but i do have to admit, i did go and drive a 350 z today. i went to the original sales person and told him my situation so he let me have the keys right away. WOW!!!! it was an amazing car,..but i know i'm going to get bashed for this...wasn't all that it's cracked up to be. ya it's fast. ya it handles. but the clutch is really hard, almost too hard, the interior, ayhhh, but the rear wheel drive is AWESOME!! with all this said and done, i think i just want my car back so that i can start modding...where should i start...?tia.
