I got another Question....Suspension

Here is another question. Do you have to change the struts when you lower your car with the eibach pro kit?. I heard that the stock shocks won't be able to sustain the resistance of a lower ratio spring before they go boom. Can I drive a little while on the stock shocks or will they not work at all from the get-go?

I had the Eibach Pro Kit on my 2K SE with the stock struts for about 25K miles with no problems. Depending on your driving habits your struts might wear out sooner than later.

ThanX Maximadave! Now at least I know I can ride a few extra miles sensibly without forking over more money so soon.

You just have to pay for labor twice.

I installed the eibach pro kit on my 2k2 with the stock struts about a week ago. And the front right strut is already blown. I recommend you change the struts if you have the funds.

I have the Eibach springs. I got about 10-12k out of my oem struts/shocks. The last 2k was pretty rough. The advantage to doing them at the same time, as was mentioned before, is not paying the labor twice. You will have to replace the shocks/struts eventually. If finances are an issue (can't afford the shocks/struts right now) you'll be okay on the OEM stuff for a while. If I were doing it again, I would do springs and shocks/struts at the same time. The ride is better on the aftermarket shocks/struts. IMHO

Eibach

I have no question with my Eibach spring...I have them about 4 month and they are fine. Just do 4 wheel alignment after you install them. Remeber not to do too much speedy conerning

just wait until you have enough money for the struts also and then install it all in one shot

struts

I have mine on my 2k2 for the last ~6 months/6k miles. No problems yet.
