57000Km and check light engine showed up...
Hi guys, this morning when I started the maxima, I got a check engine light WTF... my car has 57000KM and running very well, I'm doing the oil change today so I'll check the o2 sensor ( it happend in the past ), also I think the plug need to be change around 50-60 000Km can it be that ? What plug type / brand should I look for, sorry I dont have the time to search since I'm receiving my family today and I only have 2-3 hours to do the jobs on the car after that my a$$ belong to my wife as I'm the chief cook today. Does buying an odbc II consol can help me find problem thus leading to the solution, the less I go to the dealer the more I'm happy.
Thanks for helping.

Hi bunch of sunday sleeper, ha ha ha. A little precision, in my upper post, when I said check engine light I should have said Service engine soon. May not make any difference, anyhow I went to buy some NGK Iridium Spark plug at 17$ each, outch a little on the pricy side but nothing too good for my maxima. Let me know if anyone had the little yellow light in the dash board appearing at 57 000KM, I have a doubt about O2 sensor since 2 of them had been replace so far, how can I be shure without visiting the Nissan dealer.
Cheers

Re: 57000Km and check light engine showed up...
Hi, I also had my service engine soon light come on around 54000 miles. I took it to the Nissan dealer, and he diagnosed the problem to be an ingnition coil problem. Got the ingnition coil replaced, and the light went away.
You may also want to go to autozone. They will run a diagnostic for you for free to let you know why the service engine soon light is showing.
Hope this helps! Good luck.

If you can find someone with a scan tool - you'll be able to figure it out in a second.
Possibilities include bad coil(s), o2 sensor, MAF. I think that's the list of the most common ones
Any mods in there? Just bring it in to the dealership - there's a warranty still for that
