WSP B pipe size?

I had a long conversation with Dallas. Very nice guy. I had a long discussion on whether to go with the 2.25 B pipe or the 2.5 B pipe. He said that I will notice no difference in HP on the dyno and the 2.25 has better fitment. For those that have gotten the WSP B pipe for their 2k2's, can you shed any more info on this?

you may want to pm blubyu2k2. we had to remove the exhaust bracket in the rear and if im not mistaken he still has a slight tapping noise from the b pipe hitting somewhere. he has the 2.5 but he may be able to shed some light on it.

I've got a 2.5" pipe on the rear. I've also got a Y and a cat. I had to have the setup reconfigured by my local shop to stop the bumping noises. They basically cut the Y just before the flex pipe and inserted a little straight pipe that raised the flex section (and the rest of it) up to clear the under-car braces. Because that piece was inserted, I had to move the resonator on the B-pipe back about 1" to make the horizontal clearance for the inserted piece. Other than that, the 2.5" piping fits under the car. I also didn't remove the heat shields from the car either. I have no knocking from the Y/Cat/B, but I also upgraded the muffler portion to 2.5", and that knocks against the trunk wall from time to time.

As far as the dyno, I won't know for another week or so. I'm in D.C. right now, and won't be home until Sunday, so no dyno info until at least then.

I'm going to be calling Dallas in the next week or so to talk over the issues and see if we can't work out some form of resolution about the knocking and the modifications that were done.

I had the WSP Bpipe and dynoed it from the difference in the stock Bpipe. Had no difference in dyno. The pipe was nice looking, 2.5" mandrel bent pipe with a resonator.

I'm getting a little discouraged because I ordered them 2 weeks ago and based part of my choices on availability. I had chosen the MIG SS over the TIG SS because the MIG SS was available and the TIG would take a couple of weeks. I chose the 2.25 instead of the 2.5 because it was available. It's a little discouraging being told that they will be shipped out tomorrow and finding out a week later that it's still not shipped. However, Dallas is fitting each and every Y and B to make absolutely sure the brace and everything fits properly. Should I have ordered the 2.5?

Virus, if you dont plan on boosting, I wouldnt worry about not picking the 2.5". 2.25" will be fine if you never plan on boosting via Supercharger, Turbo, or Nitrous.

It took me 2months to get my pipe. Believe me, he is a tad slow on that.

I'm just getting a little impatient. It's getting warm and my foot is getting a little heavy and I'd like the heavy foot to have more go I may boost in the future, but I doubt it since I have an auto. I'm not sure the tranny will hold up. Why did I have to marry a woman that refuses to drive a stick
