My wife and I got an Intrepid for a rental car while the Durango was in the body shop. These cars are horrible. While they appear big, my head was hitting the roof and I'm only 5'11". Very low clearance getting in and out of the car and visibility is horrific. You can't even see the traffic light unless your 10 yards behind it. The car is way underpowered and yes I had the R/T.

very big car. I wouldnt say underpowered, cause it does the job. I think the 3.5L RT is a d-tuned version of the 3.5L in the 300 M, at least 10-15hp less. Im positive teh car weighs more then 3500 pounds.

Just be careful that you don't run into an old 16v turbo R/T - especially one owned by madmax2k in the Tampa area!

the intrepids are decent cars. i like them because they are big, but they are also fat. my roomate has a silver one on 20" chrome and it looks sweet.

I don't think it's an Intrepid but rather a '92 or '93 Daytona Turbo R/T.

Wasn't saying it was an Intrepid - just R/T.

Padsy's correct - Spirit.

He obviously has heard things, too!

Yes, it's because you are brown.....we can see you thru the internet [tapping on monitor] HELLO...I SEE YOU [/tapping on monitor]

Seriously its about who reads it first, and the mood they are in as to how they react. Also its how you may have stated it.

Generally street racing threads are not tolerated here....Unless you have a Y2K...SE that is supercharged with Volk racing rims....and you have a SPIRITED run with a Porche. Then you may talk about it.

Gotta agree it is a mood thing!

While it is ALWAYS stupid, immature, dangerous, reckless, and without using 2 brain cells to street race in any way, there are just days those of us get tired of calling you morons, morons. Then there are other days it is just too needed, especially when the inane have accumulated lists.

But we must forgive jjs if he does flame the street racing threads...after all he can no longer use the standard flames:

"Did you search?"
"Search is your freind"
"This topic has been beat to death, try a search"
etc....

After all, "Look through the FAQs" doesn't have the same power considering most of it only applies to 2k-2k1 Maximas and is full of dead links.

Try to dismiss it but the undeniable fact is you can't stand my statement of FACT.

As far as the others, unless SOMEONE had brought this up, they would NEVER learn not to post things that have been discussed ad nauseum.

No, I agree with your statement....however I am guilty of racing like many (usually just racing myself though )

I'm just playing with you. I too feel that many topics have been brought up way too many times but on the other hand it is nice to hear fresh opinions once and a while. I.E. - Eventually they will come out with a better tire than the $200+ Pilot Sports.

It's always amusing to see jjs in pretty much every street racing thread. He must be the guy that searches for war footage on TV, but tells everyone else not to watch it and how horrible it is, while he searches to find every channel it is on (<-- just an example, not my assumption on how jjs sees current world issues).

If you don't like it, don't watch/read/participate in it. Period. If you don't like hockey, do you regularly go to the games?

Everyone knows by now that the .org does not condone street racing stories. That's why we have moderators. That's their job. I, in agreement with you, do not condone street racing. But I do enjoy the stories. That's why I read them. You, obviously, don't like the idea of street racing. So why read them? To ridicule the participants? To make sure they know YOU think they are stupid, immature, dangerous, reckless and don't use 2 brain cells? You like to name call? Talk about having to grow up. Believe me, if their parents haven't got the message across to be responsible, what makes you think they will listen to you...an acronym on the internet?

And the search thing. While I also agree with you that it should be standard internet protocol to search first, and that if forum users blow it off and just answer the user that they will never learn to use such a valuable tool, "H3" (a fog bulb inquiry) would be much quicker to type than "Did you search?" and give the new (or old) user a bad taste in the mouth about the .org.

Unless you need the post count....

They could give you the title: Maxima.org Street Racing and Search Enforcement Officer.

As ironic as this sounds, I'm not trying to flame you (ok, maybe just a little arm hair burn). Please keep in mind, I'm in agreement with you regarding the lack of search use, and street racing (although [keywords] I don't think [/keywords] every race is reckless or dangerous...what about those on straight empty 4-lane 2-way roads with no traffic, pedestrian or auto, with visibility as far as the eye can see, on a clear, dry day, from 0 to speed limit?).

OK, this was my first and last post about this topic.

Unless he makes things interesting...
