Works like a champ. Highly recommended. And look around a little more. You should be able to pick it up for under $130.00 (U.S.).

It was somewhere in Texas...Midway Auto, I think. They were listed as a dealer on the iequues website. As mentioned, I think it was less than $130. With shipping, it came to about $135.

I just called Canadian Tire and they have it in stock at $250 CDN, ( approx 156$ US ) it's not a bad price cuz they have to ship it here in canada.

Thanks again bros, I'm out to get it.

Just for u all to know, OBD-II isnt gonna be around in 2-3 yrs. Its gonna be replaced by a more efficient system called CAN. This will also replace alot of the copper wires in cars with fiber optics which also means cars will be gettin a slight weight reduction depending on how many wires they got.

Here is a link for the OBDII cable and software. OBD-2 The price is good and it allows you to see and do a lot, but on the downside you need a computer to use it. If you have access to a laptop, it is a great tool though.

I would like to thank you all for your good advises. I bought the OBD II reader on the way home, for 287$ cdn, not to say the RSB is going to wait a little. I'm going to make my first attempt in the next few minute and see what's the code, I'll tell you later how it went.

The code is P0440, " Evaporative Emission Control System Malfunction " I was able to erase the code. Are we talking about the square box located underneath the car on the rear left side ? This is the first thing I can think since I had a car accident and the car was hit at that exact spot. The max has been repair since but can it be and after effect of the accident, the code only appear last saturday and I got the car back last tuesday. What do you expert think ???

P.S: The OBD II consol is very easy to use, I need to use a bit of pressure to insert the cable in the car connector.

Thanks again.

It's definitely hard to get the connector in. I put my hand behind the Nissan connector to help support it. Other than that, a pretty nice tool.

make sure your gas cap is tight... clear the code, tighten the gas cap, and then see if it comes back.

Hey UMD_MaxSE, what do you have in mind ? I'm shure the gaz cap is tight, but I'll double check. The code is erased and I'll see if it comeback.

Thanks bros.

I've wanted to get the OBD2 software and connector for some time know....does anyone have any recommendations where to get and which one to get....

I plan on using a laptop interface...I saw one that allowed for logging and 'dynos' and diagnosis, and i think resetting computer...but it did not allow for updates, only viewing....forgot the site though...

Again, any recommendations???...I think the price was about $170...

That code means that you could have a pressure leak somewhere in your cars Evap system. The first thing to check if you get this code is the gas cap... if it is loose or does not hold pressure, you could get this code. If the code goes away, don't sweat it... if it comes back, it could be something else having to do with you Evap system...

Yeah...that's right...Even the owner's manual says to make sure the gas cap clicks at least 3 times when you put it back on.

Thank you for your explanation, I checked the gas cap, and it's well tighten, the code didn't came back so far, I'll keep an eye.
