How do we advance the timing on our 2k1 Maximas?

What is involved and what performance gains are expected? I must have missed this a while back.

You need to have your dealer advance the timing using a Consult II. And don't be surprised if they say it can't be done.

The ONLY way you can do this for free is if you own a Consult II. Otherwise it MUST be done by your dealer. You shouldn't have to pay more than 1/2 hour of their labor rate, as advancing the timing is about a 15 minute job start to finish.
