Taurus SHO encounter.....
Taurus SHO encounter.....
Hello,
Before I start please NO flaming, because I usually never play around. Well while on 495 heading to the Cape this morning, a white SHO decides to tailgate me on a wide-open highway
I looked in my rearview to notice a dashmounted tach the size of my head, and about a hundred SHO stickers all over it and started to laugh. Well I turned OD off and laid on it, and much to my surprise I had about 2-3 cars on him. He was not pulling on me at all. I was having alot of fun at this point so when I let him get next to me we did it again, 2-3 car lengths this time. I was alittle shocked and very happy, cause I figured he would have done better than that. (it was the early 90's version with the Yamaha motor) Oh, and please no flaming. Just had to celebrate

I thought if I posted this I would get some sort of negative comment from someone, but if I can't share this with you guys than who do I tell it too? haha. I like the F4i alot, and I've been through alot with that bike at the same time. Long story... I wish I had your'e 929 though haha

This is very true! I was shocked I did that well against one of them, that's why I posted it
Oh and by the way, watch out for those Dakota R/T's, my cousin has one and they are pretty quick..

Are those GSXR1000 and TL1000R? Damn, I really want to get a bike, but I'm afraid of the consequences. It would be fun to have a Max and a bike to fulfill all the needs for speed, but I just don't want to pay for it with my limbs/life.

If you don't feel you are capable of handling one like an adult, than don't bother because it is too easy to turn into pavement burger. It fills my need for speed
But back to the SHO, it was the 94-95 model and he must to have been stock, cause it was not a prob. for the 3.0VQ

See, that's the issue here--I'm not concerned with myself not being able to handle it. I'm worried about all the dumba$$es on the road that I can't control. There's only so much you can do on two wheels to avoid an accident.

I'll see your Busa and 929s and Gixxers and Raise you a Tiller (TL1000r), actually it's my racing twin!!! My next bike though will probably be a new R6, plenty of bike for here and nice and light. F the R1s and Gixxer Ks squid bikes!!! Sorry no offense to the owners but the riders out here think they are Las Vegas extremes and usually end up Albuquerque injured
The 1K's I run into around here are usually ridden by squids who like to wheelie more that ride the bike, granted I wish I could do what they do but for some reason they all lose races
what is the convertible behind the bikes in the first picture. just curious and wondering if those are urs

These are the nimrods that cause sport bikers to have a bad name. But my guess is they are young and have not learned. I cant say I have not done some "no-nos" on mine.
At least most of them were in upper leathers and helmets. My ONLY complaint about seeing most bikers around here. Most are "too cool" to wear helmets and protective gear.
No protective gear = dumb ****.
I dont understand the "squid" comments refering to the Grands.???

You know I second that about the no helmets thing, That (and again this is my opinion)is the most ignorant thing to do is ride a bike made for speed and barely visible to cars at times without a damned helmet. The kids out here say if they wear a helmet the girls won't be able to see them and it will mess up their hair! Sure they can wheely for a mile but throw a turn at them and watch them crash or fall or ride incredibly slow. Or you get the motogp wannabes that watch racing and think they can do the same thing. Last season a novice guy was out during practice with the experts and attpted to stuff it up the inside on a friend of mine and lost control of his R1 and washed the front end of my buddy, causing him to break his hip, ribs and spleen and be out of racing and riding for well over a year...

Thats just not cool. How was he even able to practice w/ experienced riders??? Skipping the front = new shorts...every damned time!Typically (around here anyway) R1 riders are young and bought the bike for "show". I have yet to see one last a whole summer.

2) Yes...on the way to the track.
What about Team Green????
I only have shots of her brand new. The Giant mud guard in the back, the reflectors, and the crazy turn signals got chucked minutes after these shots were taken.
Oh yea, no flames on the chicken stripes either, there was only 25 miles on the odometer. They're gone now.

Those videos are sick....and a perfect example of what NOT to do.
I am the 26 yr old son of a 52 yr old sport bike rider who still has yet to own a bike of his own (though currently drooling over a 2003 R6). I have plenty of old school thinking in my young (reletively) head that I THINK I could approach motocycling in a sane way...just got to find the $$$...
That all said, I find it very poetic indeed that a post started about a Yamaha powered domestic sports sedan on a Japanese sports sedan enthusiests board would become a motorcycling thread
