2002-2003 GXE?

Did they make a GXE for 02-03 or are they all SE's and GLE's? I was wondering because I never saw a GXE. thanks for your info.

I actually saw a 2003 GXE on a lot in Massachusetts a few weeks ago. They are very rare.

GXE's were available; actually the only one I've ever seen is driven by my neighbor.

Its got the HIDs, no foglights, 16" wheels from 01 SE's, no spoiler, but everything else to my knowledge is identical. Probably has suspension package from GLE.

Yeah they look bobo with out the fogs and the small wheels. I couldn't beleive it when I saw it. They don't say GXE on the back though. Just blank.

Mine is a 02-GXE. No foglight or 17" wheels. These can be upgraded easily. Pricewise, I think the GXE is a better deal if you're planning to mods your car which I am sure most will especially with the aftermarket wheels and suspension. No sense of getting the SE's if you ask me. Also, the spoiler comes standard only w/the SE. I prefer the non-rear spoiler looks.

Hello from Winnipeg,
I have an 03 GXE. It was a demo with a few months use on it and the deal was too good to pass up. I was never too crazy about the stock foglights - they don't seem to through out much light. Having said that.... if someone has any ideas about some other lights to use in the foglight holes I'd be interested in hearing about it. The dealer wants $400 (CDN) for the Nissan lights and for that money there has to be something better aftermarket.
I've driven SE's with the 17 inch tires and find they are quite a bit noisier than the 16s. They may handle a little better but I drove the stock Goodyears all winter and they worked ok - we didn't get a lot of snow here but with our temperatures the snow gets packed into ice and it stays for quite a while til it gets above freezing. The traction control works pretty good. The only thing that could make it even better would be a manual transmission on the GXE.
For the money it's a hell of a car!

Good decision on your purchase for the GXE model! .
Nissan foglight can be purchase for $135.19 + shipping along w/other OEM's upgrades.

Just replace the bulbs w/better one, like PIAA XtremeWhite H3 bulbs. Also, once you change those Goodyear RS-A tires, your car will handle and ride much better! (Michelin Pilot Sport-expensive or Bridgestone Turanza LS-H-much cheaper with similiar performance...check out the reviews in tirerack.com. I have these tires (Turanzas) on for almost 3 months and they outperformed the stock Goodyear's in every aspects.

They made them for sure. I have one (dealer in Fife, WA had to get one from a dealer in Oregon). I did see 2K2 GXE at Pacific Nissan in Seattle when I was waiting around and saw another one or the same one a few months later.

i read that production for the GXE was around 5% of all Maxima's, cause Nissan figured most people would opt for a fully loaded Alti 3.5 as opposed to a stripped down maxima
