Yes, but it will look pretty lame with the 20th Ann. logo in a non-AE car.

Just say you got a 20th AE and took everything off but the floor mats.

It actually looks fly on a non AE car, no one knows the difference. There were no mats in the car when I bought it, but I got my dealer to throw in some AE stuff and that was part of it.

Here we have a 7 year old thread, bumped so a newb can sell his mats without posting the min to start his own in the FS forum, where this belongs.

The perfect example how this forum could benefit from admin intervention. Delete the entry, close the thread, PM the OP with a slap. Done.

Rochester
Hey Rochester, I get a real kick out of some Forums and some peeps on these forums... I am on other forums. Some for FTA Satellite and other music forums and the likes. Some have the nicest guys , no whining, no drama creating just for kicks and helpful. The way a forum should be if you get my drift. Then there are other guys on other forums. Yep, I seen it all.

I am a newbie here.... you are correct. You were once a newbie too if I am not mistaken.... right?
This Min Posts thing, yeah well I agree with keeping spam down but come on, seriously, there must be a better way. You are supposed to post useful information, not just Hello , Hows the weather etc like they ask... so what the hell does one do who registers into this forum for a Reason... Not just to talk weather but to offer the members something of value. I am not talking retail sales here.
I have 2 or 3 Maxima parts and stuff of value to another like for example, Anniversary Floormats that are very hard to get these days to Die Hard Maxima owners , kind of like the owners you would expect to be in this forum. Again do you get my drift?

I figured I had something valuable that someone would love to hear about, have access to and maybe acquire. I know I would love to get a new set of OEM mats to replace crappy worn out ones that someone may own after all it is a 9 year old car. You cannot find these OEM mats for the 2001 anywhere so here I try to get a Maxima new part offered to the best place to offer it, like a Maxima die hard forum site and instead I get comments like the one from you. Too funny! There is always someone isn't there?

I posted hear after doing due diligence and searching all this forum for an old post about ... ummm the same topic lets say.. floor mats for sale. I was always told to try to add to an already existing thread rather than lazily starting a new thread each time. So I search for 15 or more minutes and find an existing thread. So then you lash me for opening an old thread. Wow. again, there is always someone eh?

I have these mats to offer NOW. Not 6 months from now after I have blabbed and shot the **** about nothing for a while to get my minimum posts done. I had some great info to offer now. Not a half a year from now while some poor fellow searches high and low for maybe a new set of mats because his have coffee stains up the wazoo.

So before you take the easy road to flame me again, maybe at least agree now that you have heard MY SIDE and reasoning for what I did that maybe your last comment was a little overblown. What are the chances of that?

Flame? No, that heat is all in your noggin, man. I called your post out as an example what should be moderated. And it's a good one, too. There's no difference between your post, and some spammer selling sonic spark plugs.

More specifically, there is no "side", no matter how verbose your singular argument may be. (Which, BTW, was surprisingly well written.) Rather, there are simple, explicit rules of behavior. You failed to follow them. You can't argue against the wind.

Just keep bumping this dead thread, and you'll be at your 15 post requirement soon enough. Play by the rules, champ.

So much thin skin on the net.

I just emailed the link you posted to see whether they have OEM or at least OEM looking 20th. Anniversary mats in Frost and if they have the Factory 20th. Anniversary Embroidery like the original ones had. It is that that makes the mats... otherwise they are just another gray carpet mat.

Thanks for the link however... I searched for a while and never hit this link... must have typed slightly different verbiage in or something? I even had Nissan Canada check their parts database and they said they were no longer available through Nissan,

I am not selling aftermarket spark plugs.. I am selling OEM Maxima Mats. Hard to get mats. The kind of thing that as a Maxima owner, if I was searching hells half acre looking for OEM mats, My better instincts would say start at EBay, then try some Maxima dedicated forums to find a hard to find Maxima part. What is so hard about either understanding this common sense statement is what I cannot figure out?

Is it that hard to say, sorry, I see where you are coming from? Is modesty and the ability to say, oops, sorry... all but dead these days? I am not coming down on you. I don't even know you and I am sure you are a great guy in the real world.
So if I did some rule thing wrong, what was it, trying to rack up senseless posts before offering a valuable post to a Forum member that would have been looking for just this thing, not some aftermarket comparable?

Did I post in the wrong area? Again sorry, I did do some diligence and search for another post similar rather than start a new thread. Tell me this is not what a Forum expects of a member. Or are you saying , open up 20 similar threads on the same topic? If the 7 year old member, was in the wrong spot, than I am sorry, I just searched and found a old post that was identical to what I had to offer. That was OEM rare Maxima accessory... not some aftermarket crapola this or that. So you cannot compare as you have done Rochester.

Rather than comment that some newbie revived a 7 year post who never even made their min. post prerequisite (all negative vibe BTW) , why not nicely suggest i move the post or indicate what should have been done in a way that you would address your family member or someone you respect.
I say this because a person should be able to post or converse in a forum without being trashed, flamed or even suggestively any of the above. That is how a well run forum operates as i am told form past experience.
PS: Some forums are easier to navigate than others and you must admit, this is not one of the easiest so posting in wrong areas is a possibility for even a half smart person...lol It took me a while to search out this old post. I find search features pull up hits a bit more efficiently with other sites, but hey, I never complained about that until now as that was just par for the course and one cannot expect perfection every second of the day.

Well, that's 8. You're more than halfway there.

Write another essay about the woes of indignation, and you'll be at 9.

Deadcandance and anyone else who might be wondering, while I credit you for searching and not starting a new thread as so many might have done, I think the point that the others are making is that you tried to circumvent the rules by bumping an old thread to sell something. I personally see no issues with bumping old threads per se, but only for the right reason, i.e. to add to or update the discussion, and not just to sell a couple items. Your first post in resurrecting this discussion gave no indication of adding to the discussion other than to announce what you had for sale, so I do understand the frustration of the other members.

http://forums.maxima.org/7552910-post11.html

I also understand that you have items to sell that might benefit other Maxima owners, but that's what the Classifieds subsection is for. Once you have 15 constructive posts and are a member in good standing, you are free to use the Classifieds to sell whatever you have, as long as the listings are within forum rules.

Finally, others can testify to the fact that this is a pretty self-governing place (although I know we all have our different ways of conveying a message), and the admin staff here leans towards more of a facilitator role and not so much as enforcers, but please feel free to reach out to any one of us if you have any questions or comments.
