Is This A Fair Trade??

I have a 2002 SE automagic. It did not take me 2 long to realize that stick is the way to go. I talked to a dealer around my area and they offer me a new 2003 6 SPD for in the same trim plus LSD for 6250 green ones. I have about 26500 miles on my old car's odo. Also both my 2k2 and the 2k3 they offer are base model with only moonroof. The 2k3 stick does have LSD thou. So for 6250 Mr. Washington, is this a fair trade? Sorry about the lengthy post. Any advice is welcome, thanx in adv.

I think it would be better for you just to purchse a used 2k2 stick and sell your 2k2 auto. You'll probably break even with a trade like that since the demand for auto is higher. Who knows, maybe you can even post a wanted ad looking for a trade. Whenever you buy a new car the moment you drive it off the lot it depreciates a lot. If you buy used sell used, then you wont really loose money. but thats just me... those 6k could go into a lot of mods, turbo, super ....

...... or you could do a 5-speed conversion mod.

You can do a 5spd conversion on a 2k2 Max with the VQ35DE?? That's gotta be the most interesting auto-stick conversion method I have seen for the Max. If it's doable, how do the 5spd and 6spd different? The 6spd probably will yield a better fuel economy. But how do they compare performance-wise? Which one has better gear ratio? Shorter throws? Less notchy shifting? Sorry about the newibe question. I am not a stick or car expert. Any advice will be great.
