place to have trany flushed?

I just bought 12 quarts of mobil syn. ATF. Does any one know where I can go to have the trany flushed? Some place where they won't be careless and they do a good job. Prefereably in the merrimack valley area or southern NH.

you garage?
all you need to do:
drain it
take of the pan

clean it with brake cleaner

unhook the hose to the radiator

turn on the car and flush out the remaining ATF in the torque convertor

put everything back in

it wont, because you are not shifting and leave the gear in P.

if you dont feel comfortable doing it....just skip it. when I did mine, there wasnt too much oil left in the torque convertor.

and it is a good time to add a tranny cooler too. 20 dollars will be a good investment.

Any ideas what is good in re: to tranny cooler. I know theres a few out there, but I'm not very well informed about them. Also, what did you mean about if I feal uncomfortable about doing it just leave it because the torque converter had too much fluid in it (or something like that!) DOes that mean don't bother because all of the fluid won't come out

tranny cooler : Maxima route the tranny to teh radiator and have it liquid cool. but the cooling area is very little. Tranny cooler is external and air cool. you need to route the tranny line underneath the main frame to the front of the car.

some info from my page.

my torque convertor didnt have a lot of fluid in it. when you do a flush by taking off the pan, you pretty much take out 8+ qts of the ATF. I wont worry too much about the left over ATF.

make sure you clean the magnets on the tranny pan.
