traction control...

the dealer never really filled me in on this but..on my 2001 the TCS comes on everytime i start the car, should i just always drive with it on, or should i turn it off everytime i start the car and only leave it on when its slick out or what..any suggestions?

i turn mine off every time i drive even in the rain. the only time i leave it on is with snow and that doesnt happen that often in charlotte. i like having the control to accelerate quickly instead of it sensing slip and cutting fuel to one or more cylinders. if you had it on and pulled out in front of someone (not that you should do that under any condition) then it could bog and bam.

it's designed to be left on always... if you want to turn it off you can without any problem but like you already noticed, it will turn back on when you stop/restart the car
