Fsb + Rsb
Fsb + Rsb
I've noticed most people on the org do BOTH mods.
What is the new handling character of the car after doing both .. ? I am leery of doing the fsb as it could 'possibly' offset the increased rear rigidity gained from the rsb.
Has anyone done JUST the RSB mod to their max? I just want to correct the "Floaty back end" feeling, and have throttle-lift oversteer.
Is the car more neutral with both mods done?
Thanks for the info

Anyway, I have both. With both on, the steering is basically neutral - in one emergency turn ("wow, that really WAS a 90 degree turn..."), all four wheels drifted nicely.
Haven't done extensive testing without the FSTB, but when I did take if back off for a day the steering felt a lot more twitchy without it. You'd expect to have oversteer with that setup, but I don't actually know.

Could you tell me what are sizes for the RSB + FSTB you got (thickness/diameter) ?

Thickness and diameter are for all intents and purposes irrelevant for a FSTB and since only a couple places even make RSB's for Max's, there is no real choice in the matter unless you switch makes.

Just to chime in....
I've got the BOMZ FSTB ($36) and the Cattman-Progress RSB ($119). The FSTB was a HUGE difference for me more so than others. Taking corners I felt like the front end was planted to the ground more.
The RSB was a nice compliment, but every time I try to push it hard the crappy Potenzas start giving out
. I really need to replace them but they only have 2,500 miles
Only buy the Stillen if you like the looks or have boat loads of cash to throw away...in which case you probably would not have bought a Maxima
. All these FSTBs and RSBs do the same thing.

BTW: I just checked out that link for Bombz, how did you get it for $36? They are now selling it for $44.99 and selling what seems to be generic brand for $34.99 -- any big difference?

BOMZ Dealers Scroll to the bottom for the websites.
The nice thing about this bar is it is one solid piece of aluminum. Very good quality and fit well. I will admit, I did have to use some 10mm washers because it touched a hose in the engine compartment but that was 50 cents well spent
