weird BOSE problem

Ok, weirdest thing just happened. I'm sitting at a red light and suddenly my radio volume drops. I figured it was the SCV or something screwing up (which it's done before) so I ignored it. It kept going down and I looked at the screen on the radio and the volume was dropping like I was turning the *** or something. I turned it back up with the steering wheel controls and it went down again all the way to 0. Turned it back up with the **** and the light turned green and it was fine from then on.

What's the deal? The steering wheel buttons weren't stuck or anything. Aren't those controlled by some wireless connection? Think the guy next to me was messing with it somehow?

Weird stuff.

The factory Bose radios in the 2k2s and 2k3s are POS. There are COUNTLESS threads regarding issues with the units. You would be well advised to replace it with aftermarket equipment.

shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit...

just got off the phone with Cruthfield..they used to have an adapter that made their head units work with the factory bose..no more tho..and they were discontinued..

looks like I'm gonna have to buy a complete aftermarket setup..

Read the Audio Forum's FAQ. I posted in the FAQ thread how to keep the Bose amps/speakers, but replace the HU. And BTW, keep the Bose questions over there too. You'll get a faster response.
