Improving steering response

Is there anything I can do to make my steering wheel feel more connected to the road?

I am about to get some H&R sport springs. Not sure if that is going to do it. I also have some 17" AE 6 spoke wheels on the way...

On other cars there are polyurethane bushing kits you can get in your front end (sway bar end links, ball joints, etc) and the steering column that improve feel... is there anything like that for the max?

Thanks!

FSTB! Also if your springs and FSTB don't do the trick I will be suprised.
