For those of you who changes their own coolant:

Do you follow the instruction using 50% coolant and 50% water? What kind of water?

I've heard you can use 100% coolant?

What is the deal?

Also, how often will you change the coolant in the 2k? The maintenance schedule seems to be too long... is technology that advanced? Or they just want you to have to replaced a damaged radiator?

Never use 100%....

antifreeze. Antifreeze doesn't have the heat capacity of water. Antifreeze is used to increase the boiling pt, and lower the freezing pt of H2O.

As far as the concentration to use, it really depends on your location. If you live in the south, use a 70/30 mix (water/antifreeze). If you live in the middle states where you actually get 4 seasons, use 50/50. If you live in the colder, northern states, use 40/50.

The higher the water concentration, the better the cooling capacity.
