Mille Miglia Rims

Anyone have any experience with rims made by Mille Miglia, either good or bad? Thanks!

This thread should get lots of responses. Many guys are running the EVo5s on the 5th Gens. They are sweet looking rims, just kinda played out IMO..

I got the Evo 5's, had them on for about a month. I like them so far. Just don't bang them up because you can't get the paint to refinish them.

This is good to know, although I doubt I would need to repaint I rim unless I bent it. On that note, I did some research on Google and I found some old posts stating that Mille Miglia rims were made of "soft" alloy. Should I be concerned with bent rims?

I have MM on my MR2...I have had no problems what-so-ever. I really like them. I would think that any paint shop could match the paint should you happen to scuff one.

Nope they can't. Unless you want to paint them a different shade. It is a special bright silver paint they use in Europe, or somewhere over there. One of my rims got damaged by poor effort of someone else. They were going to have it refinished by rim pro. Rim pro told them they couldn't do it so now this place has to replace the rim for me.

I have had them the longest of any 5th gen Max on here. I have hit some pretty big potholes with them , and never bent one. I am running 35 series tires on 19's.... so go figure. They are sooo played out though, since so many people have gotten them. As far as I know they cant be fixed if your curb rash them. My ex wife curbed 3 of mine so , I am screwed. The only way to fix them is to Chrome them.

I had MM spiders on my car, beacuse I bent two of them within 6 months. One should have bent, I hit it on the edge of milled pavement (no sign of course!!) at like 50MPH, but the other bent from a small pothole..and I was running 235/40/18's..I would not recommend.

This is good to know. What part of the rim got bent, was it just the lip or did the whole rim go out-of-round from when you hit the pot-hole?

I bent the two on my passenger side, I think the size pothole I hit would have bent any rim though, Having my KYB AGX's set to 2 in the front and 5 in the rear probably didn't help much either.

bent to the point that once the tire went flat, once it ruined the tire by cutting it..

I'm considering a 17x8 with 235/45 tires. What size rims and tires were you guys running when they were damaged?

I actually dont think there are many vendors for MM rims outside of Tire Rack. I know of a place in CAN and they will ship it to you too. Cost difference is offset by duty fees to bring them in. If you really want I can find it for you. Last I checked there were about $20 cheaper than Tire Rack per wheel.

A lot of people do not know this..but I got my MM from Sears. They ordered them from the tire rack and beat the price by 1 dollar.

This way I had a place to take them if something went wrong. We all know sears is no hastle about any returns.

Good thing I did, because Tire Rack Screwed up and sent 4 bolt pattern in place of the 5 on my MR2. Sears handled all of the crap..no hastles for me.

Hmm . . . good information to know. I might consider going the Sears route . . .
