Talk to me about the 20th anniversary Max
I really like the styling and feel that it is a true enthusiast model for a maxima, my question is does it have variable intake, can I get it in a five speed, does it offer anything different than the other 2000's besides styling and has anyone had any major issues with them.
I doubt this is possible (I hang out in the 4th gen forum so please keep the flames on low) but are the motor mounts the same for the VQ30-K as for the VQ35?

It's the same engine as all the 00-01 models. It has an advertised 227 hp as opposed to the standard 222 hp. It is said that this comes from a more efficient muffler. (?) There are several other nice cosmetic differences. Yes it does come with a 5 sp, if you can find one. I have had no problems with mine. I had the AT TSB done (mine is auto). I love it ....

The AE maximas can come in 5 speeds, supposedly have 227 hp and not 222, have the variable intake and a few other goodies like the shifters, pedals, and engine covers that the normal 2k-2k1 maximas dont have.

So I take it that the HID's from the 2k2 will bolt right up? About how much do they run and how hard is it to black them out like the originals, I would be nervous about that much money going into the oven.
Does anyone have a boosted 20th anniversary, all you guy's are making me jealous.
What problems have you guy's exprienced so far with them, and how many miles?

I have a blue AE max. Automatic. It's been great.
I haven't really noticed any of the problems people have mentioned on here. I was concerned about that TSB on the slipping automatic, but the symptom description is pretty vague, so I'm not really sure if my car applies. My vin wasn't listed on the TSB...
