TSB Question

I have an auto '03 Maxima that has an INJEN CAI on it...would the dealer perform the TSB and the updates with the intake on there?

I dont believe dealers are fond of aftermarket... i suggest removing it before having the dealer even look at it. Especially since the intake is relevant to TSB.

It really depends on what the TSB is for. I just took my car in for a slipping transmission (2-3 shift) and I didn't take off my intake and they didn't say a word about it. I have to admit I was a bit worried though...

Read up on the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act. It protects owners from being pushed around by dealers for having aftermarket parts. Keep in mind, the dealership does NOT have to perform the warranty work if the aftermarket parts are to blame for the problem.

Keep in mind that the dealer must "prove" that the aftermarket add on is the direct cause of the diagnosed problem. Now how they prove it is not really known...just because one of their techs says so does not constitute proof according to the law/guidelines.
