Screwed up my rim

So I just got run off the road tonight, and screwed up my rim. Question is, can this be repaired, or should I just buy a new one?

I don't think it can be repaired to look new or anything. Your best bet is to smooth it out and cover the exposed metal with some sort of clear coat. It won't stand out, but you will notice it.

Most rim repair places that I know of only repair bent rims.

What you SHOULD do is chase down the SOB who ran you off the road and give 'em a beating!!!!

I started after him, but my wife was freaking out (my 10 month old son was in the back seat) so I had to stop. And really, that was probably the best thing. The SOB could have be drunk or high, and he'd already endangered my entire family once tonight. I don't think giving him a second chance to hurt them would be a good idea.

You made the right call - family comes first. Next time, you politely ask them to get out and then you get the bastid!!!

j/k...

That's why we need Uzi's mounted to our cars!! Who's with me????

I never use the cruise control buttons - I could hook it up to that!!

Buh bye beeeyotch!

That looks like a $150 repair job. Depending on the value of the wheels, that's your call. Sorry to hear about that bro...

Heh, a new rim is only like $130, so a new rim it is!

You could try http://www.fixrim.com they are in Houston & Dallas but at a little over $100 bucks for the repair, the new rim sounds like a good deal....

I took the car in to the wheel shop today, and the verdict is the wheel is cracked and the sidewall is bubbled. So I'm having to get a whole new wheel and tire to replace this one. Sucks.
