New record for chips?

Well, I just counted all the paint chips on the front bumper and hood of my 01 and I wonder if I have a record. I counted 48 chips, some the size of a match head, I have scratches on every single panel on the car, it's starting to look like crap. I drive on city streets, no dirt, no highways and it just gets worse every day. My 94 T-bird on the same streets had 2, count em 2! chips total after 9 years. How much to repaint the front bumper/hood would you think? I want to tear Nissan apart for it, almost worth getting rid of the car over its so bad. Also, will touch up paint just make me cry because it looks so bad?

That many chips? Touch up will make you want to throw up...the car will look like it has chicken pox (unless you really spend time on them).

I've heard there's a good process for touch ups, I have the patience, but repainting may be the solution, depending on price I guess.

If you have that many, I would just have the whole hood redone.

Wow, I guess I'm not near as bad off as I thought. I'm in AZ so I won't get any action from the lawsuit, even though I just signed up. Ah well, no one has a good bumper/hood paint price?

That may be a record, but I'm gaining on you - 30+ in my 2k3

Still can't touch Maximam though

And yes, I'm signed up for the Texas lawsuit

That sucks dude. May be something about Tucson because I have around 10 paint chips on my hood and thats it.

Ya I have major reason to mod/paint my Max now. AE lights and lip will compliment the new paint.

Is that the Big Dipper I see? oh, that's your hood. Sorry dude, thought it was the sky at night

Maybe Nissan should change the slogan to SHIFT_tck_Repaint

Not only do I have a slew of paint chips, but I have several rock chips in my windshield as well (thanks to a recent trip to FL where I got stuck behind a truck hauling a mobile home).
