question about navigation

Can anybody tell me how can I display the temp controls on the
navigation system constantly even when I am not using the navigation?
On a different subject; I just noticed today that when my emergancy brake is disengaged it has about one inch free play before it grabs?
is this normal?

I don't know about the navigation but in the instruction manual for the brake, it says if it does that, you need to get it surviced.

From your map, go to SETTINGS, then go to SYSTEM SETTINGS, then scroll down to MAP & A/C. You can select either MAP ONLY or MAP & A/C. Personally, I tried this switch and the A/C display takes up a lot of the map display availability...I think it compresses the map into the new available space. Just my opinion tho'.

My e-brake does the same thing...the first 2-3 clicks there's no tension...takes about 10 clicks before e-brake is set. Does this sound like it needs servicing???

Thanks, I don't know if this is what I am after, I don't rally use
the navigation since most of my driving is around town, but would like to display the temp. controls all the time on the screen. Is this what yor instructions will cause? also, my e-brake does not even "click" for the first inch of up travel, and when is not on it has that mucch play.My 97 does not do that, the brake lever is not loose when the e-btake is off.

I have the fullview map on all the time. When I need to adjust the TEMP, I just lower & raise the temp one notch & it pops up on the display for a few seconds.... that's all...

Plus having the map on all the time is
