do you guys have a rear arm rest? and also...

hey guys

i am going to sell my 98 maxima and buy a 5th gen. i am praying that i can find a 01 se-l in midnight blue, but they are very rare. but if not then i will just get what ever else i can find in a 5spd. but my question to you is do you have a rear armrest? i always have mine open so the bass can come into my car, and when i have it shut the bass is severly reduced. i was also wondering if your center console is the same size as the one i have now in my 4th gen. the reason being is that i have a special made clear pastic insert that holds two large dunkin doughnuts iced coffee's perfectly, and i was wondering if i could just transfer it to my new maxima.

and also my last question is:

why do the 01 se-l's have 227 hp? i was looking around at them and everyone is saying that they have 5 more hp then regular maximas. is this true? i highly doubt it but hey i mine as well ask. thanks alot guys, and i'll be a 5th gen member soon!

We have armrests, but there is no hole behind it to access the trunk. To access the trunk you can fold down one, or both of the rear seats. The armrests are different sizes, however on 2k-2k1s you can remove the cup holders to expose huge cup holders for huge cups.

Just pull out the reciprocating saw and you'll be set.

Nope, that's what the literature would have you think. Somethin to do with downturned tailpipes.

i know this is alot to ask of you guys, but i was wondering if anyone could do me a huge favor. could any of you take exact measurements of the center console with the insert taken out? hopefully they did not chage the console between the 00-01 years. (not sure if i am getting a 00, or a 01) thanks alot!

Or perhaps the bass will travel thru the Bose subwoofer hole in the rear deck just fine (resulting in a factory look)

Re: do you guys have a rear arm rest? and also...

remove the sub on the rear deck. this will do jsut fine to get the bass through.

the 01 anniversary ed has 227hp (so they say) because they do the same thing to it as the 01 i30 has done to it to produve 227hp.
