Makers of our windshield????
I'm trying to find who makes the windshield for nissan or a aftermarket one....my insurance company doesn't want to put in a OEM windshield and my body guy doesn't want to skimp and get one that is not as thick as the OEM...and suggestions???

Asahi manufactured the winshields for Maxima. However, you can try brands such as PPG. PPG is the OEM for Toyota. So I think they make a good if not decent quality winshields.

I am waiting for a new winshield right now. It seems the aftermarket winshields do not have the correct dimensions for that shaded ares where the mirror is glued on. Something about the compass.....

You should insist on getting an OEM windshield. It is the only way you can be absolutely sure of its fit, finish and overall performance. There is a reason you pay all that money to your insurance company each year . . . make them pay for a new OEM windshield.
