Blown Tranny on a Maxima 03 SE

So i'm driving down rt 1 in NJ and i feel i got no power Once i get to my friends house(5 miles) i think, let me try reverse. Shifting into reverse i hear the engine rev but no reverse Trying to go into nuetral, the car surges forward WTF?!?!?!? Thank god I didn't go into his driveway... needless to say i will be visiting the Dealer tomorrow and see what is up.. On a side note i have a place racing CAI and Sprint lowering kit. Could any of those have caused this? I am going to remove my mods before visiting the dealership. Although these mods shouldn't really affect a tranny? Am i wrong? I hope that this is under warranty tranny's don't come cheap =\

Sidenote: I did feel the tranny slip a few days earlier but didn't pay any mind to it since it went away. The car currently has 15k miles i took delivery in november.

intake and spring cannot cause the tranny problem. unless they found a big crack on the tranny pan, then they can blame on the lowering spring.

check the ATF condition and level before you go to the dealer. if the ATF is red and clear, and the level is right...most likely, it is a bad tranny to start with.

Damn only 15K and you have a slipping tranny. How are you driving the car? Abusing it?

I think you should remove the intake though. The dealer might argue that the additional power might cause the tranny to fail.

Or tell him you had it for like a year.
