Hi everybody I'm new here....

...and the proud owner of a new 2003 Maxima Si. I'm located in New Zealand.
I had a good look around on this excellent site and I'm learning plenty about my new car.
I compared the US maintenance schedule with my NZ one and find the differences very confusing. For instance there is no 1000 mile service or oil change here. They recommend to change the oil every 15,000 kms (9375 miles). Yes, you're reading right. The first oil change is after the first 9000 miles. They recommend to use fuel with an octane rating of at least 91 RON (I think that's about 87 pump octane) but say to use 95+ RON for improved performance.
My car's performance figure (factory claims) is 157 kw. My car was made in Japan.
Can somebody please explain the discrepancies?
Thanks, Jack

WHOA! What is up with that grille? Looks like an Infiniti grille to me...

VERY cool. Headlights look a little different as well.

Wonder if we can get a NZ grille and put it on a US Maxima?

here in the USA, we call it an Infinity I30. the luxury version of the Maxima.

Check out ebay.com, ebaymotors and go to nissan. if you can access it you will see our Maxima. Let us know what you think. Most of us prefer it because it's more aggressively styled.

Sorry to hear you guys get the 3.0, and not the 3.5L

Welcome to the org and Congrats on your purchase.

Do you guys have the new Maxima there? the '04?
