Frankencar w/ stillen

I installed the Frankencar with the stillen filter. I was disapointed that I could no longer use the mounting brackets suplied from stillen. Now after about 100 miles with this setup, the frankencar is slipping out of the rubber adapter up top. (excuse my lack of technical language) I tightened the fastiner as much as possible, but it is still slipping rather easily. I was wondering if anyone had this problem, or found a way to mount the stillen. I was thinkin of taking the frankencar to my friend and having him weld it shorter, but I'm not sure if it is metal or aluminum. Thanks

The tube shouldnt be slipping off the midpipe. Make sure the connector is straight and tight as possible. A lot of people run this setup with no problems.
