A little fun against a M3!!!!!
Well this dude in a late 90' M3 99'/98'(no not the new ones that are fast as hell) flew past me as I was going to get a hair cut. As he flew by I saw a logo saying "Dinan 3" and "M3" I was like what? And i wanted to see how bad i would get smoked.
Have you heard of "Dinan 3"? I have heard of Dinan before but whats on the car?
Well anyways, I got behind him at the light and as soon as it turned green he took off like a bat out of hell. I was pulling on him in the lower gears and started to pass him on the right lane. Then some guy in a truck got im my lane and i had to get into the other lane and get on it again. After that he wasnt pulling away, just keeping even.
Can this happen??

Dinan is a well known BMW tuner. I don't know what you need in order to get the badges but Dinan does offer superchargers for BMWs. I had a chance to see a Dinan SC'D Z3 inline 6. Pretty nasty. Full suspension/sc/wheels/tires/exhaust etc...

okay, if that was a GENUINE dinan, then he should have smoked your ***.
In order to get the dinan badge, you have to buy a certain amount of dinan products, and they give you points. After you reach 10 points, then you can have a badge.
A supercharger system is 10 points.
All the little things are like 1-2 points.
a supercharged M3 puts out over 320hp with a 0-60 time of 4.8 seconds.

My friend is getting a dinan kit put on his BMW for 3,000 bucks adding on is the exhaust, headers, chip, throttle body, and tuning adding 40 hp on. Just cause he has dinan on doesnt make it much faster unless it is supercharged. Oh and he has a M3 body kit with the emblems. RICER!!

Yes I just talked to my Friend (BMW expert), he said that it was probably a 330ci with a body kit and some performance parts.
Oh Well my head was huge for a while...thinking i could keep up with the old M3s. Back to reality again.

330ci is a newer model. You probably went up against a late 90s 328i with M badging. I've even seen 318's with M badging. You can really tell a 318 by the exhaust tip. If it has a single tip it is a 318 (1.8 liter 4 cylinder).
I went up against a late 90s M3 in my old Mustang a few years ago and got beat. Those cars made 240hp and weigh less than 3000lbs. I've also driven a 1997 M3 4 door sedan w/automatic transmission and not only was it was very quick but it handled like it was on rails. Those cars have such a nice chassis-nothing else comes close.
