So I'm on my way to a friends house when I pull up at a light. Some kid to the right of me gets my attention and points to my left, I turn down my music, and look over and its a kid in a VW Golf GTI with 18s, pretty sweet lookin car IMO but his car lost major points with what he said: "Lets race, 4 on 4." I look around, trying to find some other modded cars, but all I saw were SUVs and whatnot, so I ask him what the hell he means, and his response: "4 cylinder against 4 cylinder, I thought by how your car looks, that you would know something about cars." With this comment I almost busted my pants laughing and replied "Alright, let's race and then you can decide if my car has 4 cylinders or not." We raced up to about 60 and I had a sh!tload on this guy, 5-speed Golf GTI vs. Autotragic Maxima, Maxima wins! I love the looks I get after I race people too..they make my life worth living.

 

That's just too funny! "Thought you'd know something about cars!" lol.

 

Some kid in my school thought a max have a 4. I was like kid... I'm gonna slap ya bad in the face right now.

But I bet that guy was stumped. Good win.

 

I remember racing a V6 mustang who thought my "lil nissan" was a 4 banger.... he said most imports are 4 cyl's he asked what liter? "2.2 or 2.5 liter??" i was like ummm, "2.5 buddy!" he says lets go man, I got a v8, i knew he was lying cause it sounded like shiet! It was a 95-96 mustang. He started doing a brake stand, and burning his rears "for traction", , I asked my friend is this guy kidding? The light turns green, and im rolling so I dont lose traction and i mash it, im up over 3 cars on this guy and climbing. I shut down at about 62 (street was a 55 zone) Get him at the next light, he asks, "you got NOS!!", This was too much! Then he says me too!! and next race he purges at me, light turns green im out of the hole first while he must have shot NOS in 1st gear cause he spun more than a DJ at a party. again, 3-4 cars till 60mph. He exited.

 

these type of stories are most definitely locale based, because I know in NYC, racers know that Maximas are V6 only, but yet they sleep on them heavily.....

I've gotten mad catz at lights and I roll down the window yellin, "Don't sleep on this unless u are prepared to get murked"...works everytime!

 

What a great story. Makes me proud to be an owner of an auto.

You know the first thing he did when he got home that night was jump on the Internet and look up Maxima stats. Hopefully he realized how much of a dumba$$ he is.

Story is mad funny though.

 

All Maximas must have 4 cylinders. I've been looking for spark plugs online for my 2K and about 90% of the online sites sell the OEM plugs only in sets of 4. So even the part dealers don't know Maximas have 6 cylinders.

 

It wouldn't have bothered me as long as he hadn't said **** about me not knowing cars, when he's the dumba$$ who doesn't know anything. And even if I had 4 cylinders, who the hell says 'let's race 4 vs. 4' hahahaha

he may have thought he was in Japan, where they have 4banger Maximas. he must have taken a wrong turn somewhere and ended up in the US. did he look lost?
