03' maxima vs new 350Z

Hope this is the right place to post this...

Black 350Z... young guy early 30's late 20's, From the light on DelaVerendrye, Bishop Power... 0-160km/h I was at his door. When I hit 4th I started gaining but he let off... we were going a little too fast so I decided not to pass him...

Wish I had my single turbo stealth but the max did pretty good... I'd say the 350Z is a little quicker than my friend's 260hp 99' stang GT... anyways nice car...

Check out my www of my single turbo stealth...

Nice! '02+ 6 speed Maximas are the $hit! I hope the aftermarket gets a turbo kit for it.

its a total drivers race. If you can jump the z off the line, you should be able to hold them off in the 1/4.

let's say both cars bone stock, manual, equal reaction time, drivers skill the same, shouldn't the 350Z have the advantage off the line becaouse of its rwd?

if the Z only lead by half a car length off the line, then I'm really disappointed w/the Z....with it's rwd and weight transference, i thought it would leap off the line, or is it that 03 Max that quick?

I couldnt agree more. The Z should have over 300 HP. Kinda sad when the ultimate Nissan sports car (in the states, we all know the skyline rules all) can be beaten by on 02-03 max or and 02+ v6 alti! I'll take my max over a z anyday. Notice i left out the 04 max, becuase, um, yeah, its not as fast!

I rode in a Touring model Saturday.

The driver powerslid the azz end out on a couple 180s and then brought it back in. I don't care if the Maxima(modded) is faster, I'll take that RWD powerslide over my FWD torque steer ANYDAY!!!! However, he's looking at the $tealin exhaust and was quite intrigued when I showed him the Greddy TT kit for <$6K.

I loved the exhaust rumble!

I've never rode in a 2K2-2K3, but that 350Z exhaust with the windows down is LOOOOUD! You feel like you need to yell to talk. Roll up the windows and it sounds like a Maxima with Y-pipe and catback, so moderate but not loud.
