Apparently my message was not saved due to server crashing, anyway here is the original....

Any suggestions for swapping the shifter on a 2k2 auto. I have a light grey interior and would like a shifter that fits in my hand a little better and is a little softer then that hard nub that comes stock.

There may be other posts out there answering this already but the search is not working so sorry in advance...

Thanks

Eric

I heard mixed things about swapping a I35's shifter - some say that they both twist off and can be interchanged while some people have told me that they won't fit. I honestly don't know which is true, but if you want to try - let us all know.

Uhh, read even closer, if he has a 2K2 he has a gated shifter like me so ANY manual shifter will fit. I have a Momo Crystal shifter in grey, matches up nice iwth my frost interior. So maybe instead of you should instead be on the head for getting ahead of yourself. Any manual **** will fit, the Momo ones use a cool 3 screw allen wrench deal to attach.

How hard do you have to twist the **** before it comes off?
