RVM UDP 2002 question

Just got my pulley yesterday and in reading the directions, it states to check the 4 allen bolts that secure the timing ring are tight and that the stainless steel oil sleeve is mounted on the pulley for the 1995-2001 models only. Mine is a 2002 and I called RVM for clarification. They told me that the 2002 model doesn't need the timing ring at all and it can be removed. They also said the 2002 has the oil seal sleeve on the car and I do not need one on the pulley. One more thing, they said the oil seal doesn't need replaced because the sleeve is on the car and not the pulley. Does this sound accurate. Anyone else install the RVM on their 2002 can give any input?

Send it back for a refund...if they know that the 2002 doesn't need a timing ring then why the he11 do they send it out like that. Its also BS about the oil sleeve. That company sucks check out the stickies and good luck.
