HELP! anyone know where to get stock turbo?

I know this is off a Maxima topic but my girlfriend has a 2001 vw jetta 1.8t and her turbo is dead and I was wondering if anyone would know a place that sells stock parts that are not at the dealership prices. The problem is we were about to trade in her car for a 2002 Maxima SE but now the vw dealership wants $1000 for a new turbo. She bought the vw new and it has been in the shop 5 times because everything keeps going wrong w/ it. I'm actually looking for a lawyer to get her out of the lease so if anyone knows a good lawyer that would help too, thanks

Go get a used one from a salvage yard. Or you could out on http://www.vwvortex.com and ask.

5 times???I believe there is a lemon law. If you buy a new car and has substantial problems you can legally get a refund/ replacement???

Also, seems like she's in a lease. If she is, the vehicle should be under warranty regardless of the mileage. The advantage of a lease is that the vehicle is always under warranty. But you'll get raped if you pass the 'allowed' mileage.

Look into the lemon law regulations for your state. In California, for example, if you bring the car in with the same exact problem 4 times, you get a brand new one.
