Infinity Basslink question

I know a couple of you have the infinity basslink and i've been looking into it. I took a trip over to good guys and sampled it and it was pretty damn good for a 10". How does it sound in your cars? does enough bass get through the trunk? And the guy said i should get a new deck to get the best sound out of the basslink, but it would work with my stock deck. What are your setups like? thanks

i just have the basslink with the stock BLOSE system. I think it sounds great. Other guys have just changed the front tweeters and seem to be very happy. Nothings going to beat upgrading the deck and speakers, but for less than $200, you cant go wrong with the basslink

under $200? the cheapest I've found is a little over that on ebay. Good Guys (ripoff central) is selling it for around $350 but they'll do free installation. Is the install really that hard?

The Basslink is enough for me for now until I decide to do my stereo.

I love the basslink. Just got it like a month ago. $190 on e-bay to the door. I had it installed for $60 at Circuit City. They sell them there so they will install and if you ever get a new car they will take it out for free. I took the Bose Sub out and am using the empty hole as a port for the basslink--works great. The remote is mounted under the steering column dash. I am very happy with the sound. Exceeded my expectation. The bose highs actually sound better now and it seems like I can turn it pretty loud with little distortion. I keep the levels pretty low. Anyway I am very happy.

Question for those w/o Bose and a basslink. Did you cut a hole in the rear deck and then put a grill over it to let the sound enter the cabin?

Also, has anyone needed to dynomate their trunk after the basslink was installed?
